Solidarity Collaboration with A.MA.NO.
Recently, ION, SA has participated in carrying out the "Food Handler" course for the volunteers of the "Los Ángeles de la Noche" Association in the rooms of the NH Hotel in Malaga.
In 2008, Felisa Castro, during a trip to Milan, saw how the neediest gathered at the city's station to receive a sandwich and drink something hot. After this experience, he decided to try to alleviate the hardships that the homeless were going through in Malaga. This is how the journey of those who are today "Los Ángeles Malagueños de la Noche", A.MA.NO, began.
During the first two years, drug addicts, alcoholics and immigrants crowded into the "Los Ángeles" booth located behind the city's Santo Domingo church, but the truth is that currently it is seen that the need to order food does not respond to any circumstance or specific profile.
At the end of April 2011, members of the association expressed their concern when they saw that, after three years of activity, they had a volunteer staff of more than 80 people, who prepared food daily, so they felt responsible for Ensure hygienic conditions for staff and the establishment.
From that moment on, the machinery began to move for the execution of a training action in Food Handling, an event that culminated on May 28, 2011, where more than 80 volunteers obtained their qualifications in said discipline. The development of this course was possible thanks to the media organization carried out by the "Los Angeles Malagueños de la Noche" association and the joint collaboration of:
